Is it possible to let your beer sit TOO long?

I'm one of those lazy guys who hates bottling. I left my last Pale Ale in the primary for 11 months and it was horrid. It had an overly bitter after taste. Soapy hops is the best way I have found to describe it. I'm not sure if its the amount hop material left in the trub or what. I used it...

    Forgot to boil priming sugar

Boiling not only helps dissolve the sugar but it also kills any nasties from infecting your beer. Since there is nothing to do about it now, I would suggest waiting the 3weeks and testing one. Just make sure you smell first so you don't end up drinking some nasty infected swill.

    Recommendations for Good Online Suppliers?

I live all the way over in cali so I usually use morebeer.com. But I have been playing around on the Brewmasters Warehouse website and I have to say I am really impressed. Sure its pretty, but the recipe application built in, completely awesome. I will give this a try for my next batch.

    Double IPA Pliny The Bastid

This is a bit :off: but I trying to put together (or just find) an extract or partial mash recipe for another Russian River brew. They have a Belgian style blonde ale that is simply fantastic. They call it Redemption and I have fallen in love and need to clone. I plan to use White lab...

    Bottling Tips for the Homebrewer

Yay! for this post! I just started brewing and I just bottled my 1st batch last night. I have been reading for weeks that bottling is this horrible chore. Every time I went to read a post to get ideas on how to make this a little bit less of a chore there is always a post (or several) that read...

    Pyramid Pear Cider

Check the baby food section at the grocery store. Gerbers and Beech Nut both sell quart bottles of clear 100% pear juice. Not sure if they have preservatives or anything else. Probably not the cheapest stuff in the world, but it can't be as bad as some of the malt extracts I've seen for sell...
