    I have 2 - 1 gallon bags of grapes from my grandfather's ranch. He says they are "wine making grapes" however not sure which kind. he has been making wine with these grapes for years, but i would like to try to make a somewhat dry pyment. I can't find an actual recipe for a pyment that is made...

    Has anyone made this with lalvin d47? I want to start some mead, this looks pretty straight forward and was wondering if it would turn out comparable to the original dryness wise? i only ask 'cause its what i have on hand.

    My Apfelwein is 3 days short of 1 month in primary. Perfectly clear and SG is right at 0.998. I have to leave town for a while and want to know if it'll be OK to go ahead and bottle today? I checked the SG yesterday too. No change.

    Still a newbie and have some free time while i wait for the first two batches. I was just wondering what type of labels most of you use for your wine/beer? Do you buy the labels specifically made for this purpose? Or, do you just buy some Avery or Brand X labels at WMT or the office supply store?

    If you were to make a single gallon, would you personally cut the yeast to 1 g or put the whole five in?
