    Keeping track of brews

Hi sorry I haven't been here for a while and I stopped getting those email reply notification dealys. Heh, I wouldn't know the first thing about using macs, let alone code for one! Sorry no mac version as yet :( As for doing all the inventory stuff, I guess I actually didn't want to put...

    Bottle cleaning shortcut

Does anyone else (who's unfortunate enough to be bottling still :p ) cut the handle off their bottle brush and stick it in a power drill to clean their bottles? It works a treat and almost makes it bearable.

    The Brewlogger Thread

It just sounds like you have to register the files in the viewport.zip file. The 'SmartSubclass.dll' & 'SmartViewport.ocx' files go in the same folder as a file called 'Regsvr32.exe'. (99% of the time it's the system32 folder, sometimes system on older machines). So if you have doubts where...

    The Brewlogger Thread

Okay I found a place to stick the program... http://au.geocities.com/roy_boy_55/brewlogger.html The smart viewport files are there too, you'll need those to use the search option. It would be cool to just keep chucking any questions/suggestions in this thread, keep everything tidy :)...

    Keeping track of brews

I guess this is classed as brewing equipment....I have some computer programming experience, and wrote a little program to keep track of all my brews, beats keeping a diary! So if you're computer savvy and would like to try it let me know! Otherwise I'd like to know how you go about logging your...

Cheapest Beer served at a bar?

I guess the best around my parts would be a pub that has this deal - $10 all you can drink in an hour, which includes 4 basic spirit coupons which you can use anytime during the night...your deal sounds much better!

Looking to open a homebrew store

I hate doing it too, its just so dicey! Here in brisbane there was only two shops about 14 months ago, now they've expanded to 5 in the general metropolitan area...I never really thought about it before, but live within walking distance of one of the original stores, very very lucky indeed :D

    Name that growth

Oh yeah yep the seals have never been a problem, we've got one of those ritzy bench cappers *thumbs up* I can't imagine using one of those little hammer on things! Yeah I guess it does smell like yeast, and it's not furry or moving or anything!

    Name that growth

lol :D yeah it doesn't smell gross or anything....I'm having a bbq tonight, maybe I should just give one to someone I don't like and see what happens ;)

    Name that growth

This brew is just over a year old, but it has had this 'stuff' floating on the top and on the sides for just about its whole life, I can't tell whether it's yeast or mould...I've just never had yeast behave like this before? None of my other brews has had it happen. The brew itself is a pale ale...

    Help a beginner!

My local homebrew guru just suggested using 150g of cracked grain steeped in hot water to enhance a beer kit rather than using all grain...but the fresher the better ;) go nuts!
