I bought barley from my local feed mill, i malted it by putting it into my mash ton, let it soak in water 4to 8 hours drained it an let it sit for another 4 to 8 hours with out water. Then just repeated the process til the barley started to chit. Then i placed it in a pail on its side and let it...

If its just barley, you can use it. You have to malt it first. Does it look clean? An or is it all broken up?

I brew all the time with my baby, while the wife is out. Never had a problem. Usually the baby will sleep or be content in a bouncer for a while, and if he has to cry for few minutes.... life will go on:-)

I go to my dad's and we brew ten gallon batches (soon to be twenty ):). And its about a half hour drive. But what usually do is cool it down there, and pitch the yeast when i get home. Unless i am going to stay there for a few hours then i pitch it there. I only put a blanket on it if its sunny...
