    Tech question

I'm overhauling a Sankey tap that came with my old BM-23... and got it stripped down, but I'm at a loss on how to get the three O-rings in the main body out. I don't want to go digging willy-nilly and rip the suckers, nor do I want to yank something that wasn't meant to come out. Any tips?

    Erm... the hell?

@glick: Will do. Might as well do a full reset of things, and to cover my butt, will fully strip down my Sankey coupler and replace all o-rings, seals, and associated bits.

@william_shakes_beer: Yeah... which is why my 20 pounder is sitting outside the kegerator. Won't fit. :P

By "flatline", I mean zero PSI on tank gauge. The secondary still shows the pressure I had set, roughly 10PSI. Teflon is on gauge threads, the threads to the barb/disconnect, and likewise the one on the Sankey tap. Nylon gasket used between main valve and regulator. Could the relief valve...

I'm going to call gas company in the morning. BTW: just did the soapy water thing around all connections. No bubbles.

Bottle is from gas distributor. Don't remember which brewing equipment site I bought regulator from.

Wide open at bottle. Every threaded connection checked, and Teflon taped. Hose clamps tight.

Ok, kids... I bought a 20# CO2 tank last month. Have a single sixth-keg (commercial) hooked up to it. Only had the rig set up for a week, and already my tank gauge is flatlined. Did a thorough leak-check initially, found nothing... so how in the frak did I blow through that much gas that...

The TV Bar has gotten lots of comments. Was a vintage 1960's Westinghouse we gutted. Bottom is a carpet remnant from a certain hotel in Atlanta.

Nope... but was a Navy brat, so the jargon got learned PDQ.

Swapping a fan motor, I can do. Compressor? Not so much. Will try the easier (and cheaper) fix first. Would wager that it's probably the original motor and compressor, and they're older than me by five months! ;)

Ok. 40+ year old Beverage Air BM-23 has been chugging along, no gripes. Finally get gas bottle, a keg... we're in business! Untill a couple of days ago. She started whining and squealing... and I promptly unplugged her for several hours. Plugged back in, it whirred and sounded normal, was...
