It ain't pretty but it works. Only 1 fan is operating on condenser. Compressor runs smooth. I don't have the room for it I have both towers also. All for 275. Located near Mount airy NC.
Brewed it last night overshot gravity. Got 87 percent efficiency. Came in at 1.042 pitched notty in one and Windsor in the other fermenter. Done 10 gallons. 2 ounces of EKG at 60 and 2 ounces of fuggles at 20. Clocked in at 27 something IBU. Thanks for all the advice!
Here's the bill:
8lb 8 oz Maris otter
8oz crystal 60L
1oz EKG 60 min
.75 fuggle 30 min
.5 fuggle 15 min
Notty yeast
Mash at 155 60 mins
Never had a bitter. Just want a very drinkable beer with English ingredients. If it can be improved upon I'm all ears. I have never used crystal neither...
It turned out awesome. I can't believe it's an ale. Ended up using notty yeast. Fermented at 59. Starting gravity was 1.056 finished at 1.007. overshot gravity but it was awesome. Drank 10 gallons it 3 weeks
First ag yesterday went OK. Missed mash temp by 3f hit 149. And my og came out at 1.052. hope it will still be drinkable. Color is wonderful going into fermenter. Thanks biermuncher. When I seen the color I said now this is why I went ag!!
