    1/2" TC x 3/8" barb

I think that is what I will have to do. I like the larger output when I was kegging, but I am down to bottling for the time being. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the suggestion FireManDan. I didn't see it on the website, but I sent them an email to make sure.

    1/2" TC x 3/8" barb

I have a BL214 Blichmann 14 Gallon Fermenator Conical (Tri-Clover Fittings). It came with a 1/2"x1/2" fitting for the dip-tube/bottling output. I would like to use the smaller bottling wand right from the barbed end. I have been doubling up on tubing to make a not very efficient reduction...

    Speidel Braumeister (brewmaster)

I got an answer from Ralf at Speidel ref post# 2196. thanks for using our Braumeister. Please add the 4ltr more that the elements are covered. Both are starting to heat when you run the mashing. It would be possible for a small batch to disconnect the outer heating element. Then you can...

    Speidel Braumeister (brewmaster)

That is a good question. It would make sense that only the inner coils are being used, but I am not sure. Once a boil is needed then all coils are on deck. I would be interested to know. Have you found the answer yet by chance?

    Speidel Braumeister (brewmaster)

I have the 50l and have made a few of the mods suggested on this thread. I purchased some silicon tubing to seal the top filter on the malt pipe, but the wall of the tubing is too big. 1) I tried to fit it in cold. Does the malt pipe need to heat up and expand before it will fit? 2) Does...

    Speidel Braumeister with Transformer.

Has anyone who uses the Speidel Braumeister tried using it with a transformer? I am in the military and move around a lot, so having an electrician come in and wire something would not work out for me. Below is a link to something that says will work. Just curious if anyone else has looked...

Is active yeast bad for you?

Sounds like I need a hydrometer. I will get one today and go from there. Thanks for the help. Ryan

Is active yeast bad for you?

Rick, Thanks for the quick reply. It was an Imperial Stout. I should definitely get a hydrometer. I waited for the temp to get down to 70 degrees, then added the yeast the first time. It sat for four weeks. I tasted it and it was kind of weak flavor-wise. I was thinking that it was weak...

Is active yeast bad for you?

So I am a beginner of beginners. I made a batch of stout, but had too much water in my pot and ended up taking some of the wort while it was brewing so it didn't overflow. After it was all said and done I put the wort into the carboy, added the yeast and it fermented like normal. After the...
