My brite is at 15 psi after carbonating do I just hook it up to a keg apply gas pressure and fill my keg that is purged with co2. Main question is do I drop the pressure in brite before kegging. ? Cheers
Cheers mate this has been why I haven't been able to carbonate properly for months. Amateur... Of me. Also herd I need to make sure stone nut etc assembled tightly and checked in bucket of water. Thanks allot.
I have a question .
I have a 1.5 inch sparger in a 500l brite tank the same sparger you would find . In a 2 inch t piece arrangement. That won't carbonate period.
Does this mean I need a 12 or 8 inch stone to carb this volume. Also must the stone be off centre to work properly in tank?
Could you use the McCann Soda unit or Procon for putting cold cider in it and carbing straight to keg? I know it would be slow but wondering if something like this could work?
Can a gas sparger be used inline with a pump . Sucking cold cider 1 degree out of racking valve , through pump through sparger on outlet into bottom valve. Can carbonation work ths way for larger batches .
Some first timer questions:
1. When I open up the bottom valve on mybrite tank full with cider at 2 degrees 15psi. Cider gushes out then runs clear and is hard to fill a glass without foaming. However when I run it down a short hose the one that goes to keg has me thinking.
Can you achieve...
When tasting from brite tank with short hose into class cider is foamy and doesn't hold much co2 has been carbed for 5 days at 2 degrees and 20psi. However I notice when I hold cider in a short hose it tastes more carbonated. Do I use a long hose when kegging is this normal that the cider in a...
When tasting cider out of bright tank. Co2 seems to break out of solution in glass. Foamy head minimal co2 absorbed. Was thinking is a long hose beneficial when kegging as more surface area.
Thank you very helpfull. One more question what pressure do you apply to the head of the tank when filling kegs. I am guessing 15 psi to maintain co2 in product and to be able to move the product into pressurised keg. I ask as I experienced low carbonation in my cider I dropped the brite to 5...
Have brite tank at 20 psi an 2 degrees how do I keg from this drop to 15 psi and connect gas on top and fill from bottom valve or? Leave at 20 and go straight into co2 pressurised kegs.? This is cider buy the way. Don't wanna lose any carbonation
I have my cider carbing at 22psi at two degrees. When it comes to kegging do I drop the pressure to say 10psi to 15psi to match my keg pressure. Then transfer with a short hose into keg.
I make sure the gas on the stone is all turned off then apply gas 5psi or above yo overcome pressure in...
I had a thought say I have cider carbing in bright tank at 20psi for three or four days and its at equilibrium before taking a sample do I need to drop the pressure in the tank to say 5psi or 1 psi. Before taking a sample . I think maybe I need to be more patient as cider is cold 2 degrees but I...
