    Thank you for the info. I'm obviously new to this stuff, and this forum. But , I do find it greatly helpful. Some books are cut & dried, with no explanation. I find it better to speak to people who are making mistakes with you :D

    Is there an advantage to boiling your whole batch? I am capable of doing so. I have a propane burner and a pot converted from an old keg. I know that larger batches equal longer boil times. Any imput???

    I am brand new to home brew. I've been reading that optimal temps for ale fermentation is between 65-70F. I am concerned because I've been taking temp readings in all the spots i have available for storage. Theses temps range from 55-62F. IS this a huge problem? Should I regulate temp with a...
