    I was drinking a Sapporo at the time of bottling. Yes...it was quite fizzy. I actually made a gif of it fizzing away.

    That's because this is the secondary fermenter. I transfered right after it was still. Didn't do that great of a job keeping the troupe out of my siphon hose but it's better than nothing.

    Check out these shots of my first brewed batch ever. Don't you just love the color of this mix? Yellow Dog Ale is in my primary fermenter right now. I'm experimenting with ice to lower the temp of my wort. I have a hard time keeping it below 80 but the ice filled about 3 inches of a 5...

    So when you say your first batch died....what do you mean exactly? Like the yeast never took off or only fermented for a day or so?

    Good idea on the cheap cooler solutions. Either way the foam for the vents on the floor or the cooler with Ice dumped in would work. I'm in GA and if I want to brew this summer I've got to do something. It's just May and it's already hot as can be.
