American IPA My 2-time gold winning American IPA

I just opened the first of my recent batch. Didn't have the right crystal malt so I used some 20 instead, now I think I should have just left it out. Dry hopped with Mosiac, turned out great again

American Pale Ale Da Yooper's House Pale Ale

Brewed this up yesterday and it's fermenting away as I type this. My OG was 3 points low, I'm guessing my boil off amount is different now that it's hot and humid out. I used wlp090 as I didn't have any wlp001 on hand. I love Cascade so I can't wait to try this

American Pale Ale Da Yooper's House Pale Ale

This sounds good, think I'll be brewing this up this weekend instead of the IPA I was planning.

American IPA My 2-time gold winning American IPA

Whoops, I meant Pacman. This is the first time using it, I bought it a while ago and never got around to Brewing with it. I hope it turns out as well as my last batch!

American IPA My 2-time gold winning American IPA

Think pacman yeast would work well with this recipe? I want to brew it again but the only thing I have on hand at the moment is Wyeast 1764 (pacman). Should I roll with it or order some 001?

American IPA My 2-time gold winning American IPA

I just finished my first batch of this and it was the best beer I've made yet. I'm going to brew it up again soon

Blood Orange American IPA first try

This sounds really good, I might give it a shot on my next brew day. You bought the oranges fresh and peeled/mashed them up? Then froze, thawed and racked onto them in the secondary?

    Good beginner IPA recipe

I just brewed this recipe as my first IPA, it wasn't any where near $90. It's still bottle conditioning but the sample I took smelled and tasted wonderful. I'd bet this is probably one of the cheaper ipas. There isn't nearly the volume of hops in it that I normally see people list in their...

    Question RE Refractometer Reading

I believe the same thing happened to me on my last batch. My pre boil SG was right on, as was my boil off amount, but my OG was 5 points low. I figured it was probably because of of a diluted sample. I'm going to take the sample when I throw in the chiller on this next one. Does having trub...

Please critique my first recipe (saison)

My goal was to keep the bitterness down. Being that citra is stronger this seemed to be easier to obtain at flameout. Do you think I'd benefit from duel hopping at both intervals? Here's what I'm currently looking at : Saison All grain SG 1.054 IBU 22.6 3.8 srm Mash @148 for 60mins...

I'll cut back on the dry hops, I went with the 2oz because that's what my IPA called for and I haven't had any other experience with it other than that. I don't want it overpowering everything, I guess I was assuming there is a bit of leeway with dry hops. I'll use 3711 and follow those temps...

Wasn't too sure how much wheat to add. How's this look? Saison All grain SG 1.054 IBU 28.1 3.8 srm Mash @148 for 60mins 9 lb (83.7%) Pilsner 1.75 lb (16.3%) white wheat malt 60mins- .75oz Cascade 5mins- .75oz Cascade Flameout (10min steep )- .75oz Citra Dry hop (3-5 days)- 2oz...

Ok, I can dry hop with citra that wouldn't be a problem. The grain bill look adequate?
