    Bayou Classic SQ14 assembly

Thank you, that is some good information. Now if only they had sent me the two screws to keep the shutter on. Would anyone know the specs on those in case I need to grab them from home depot?

    Bayou Classic SQ14 assembly

I don't think the spring is supposed to be there. A couple of us have received them. From what I gather the small parts should be 3 screws, and the shutter. 1 screw holds the burner to the stand and the other 2 screws fasten the shutter to the burner. Did anybody else have a little trouble...

    Bayou Classic SQ14 assembly

I wish I had a screw that fit at my house. My gas line doesn't even screw in well. I am kinda hoping Home Depot at least responds to my email I sent them. Unfortunately, I wanted to brew with it this weekend.

    Bayou Classic SQ14 assembly

Mine came with the the burner already mounted and a small bag with a shutter and a spring. No other screws which I am supposed to have. Turns out the shutter and spring are part of this replacement kit. http://bayouclassicdepot.com/5210_propane_burner_part.htm.htm So I am a little...

    Yuri's Brew Yurt (Hut)

I am in the process of finishing my basement and seeing those drywall pics makes me cringe. Good luck and it really looks great!

That does look awesome. Next time make sure not a drop of the deliciousness spills :mug:

    Way too much foam!

The longer lines will slow the speed of the beer so there will be less foam without you having to drop the PSI. The other option is keep your 5 ft lines but drop the PSI. Now if the PSI is too low then you will start to lose carbonation over time in your beer. I bet if you keep venting the...

    Foam, so much foam!

Has this been sitting for a few days? Did you use the 'shake the corny' method to carb it up? Describe what process you used to get to this point and we can see if anything sticks out as a cause for foam. So far though your PSI, line length, and hose diameter seems fine.

    Munton's CarbTabs (Not a fan)

I use something very similar to the beer gun. Instead of just using a racking cane I have a bottling wand that has the pressure tip on the end. It also fits just snug into the end of a picnic tap. I just dial down my PSI so it doesn't come out too fast. Even if the picnic tap is in the open...

    Kegerator too cold

With the light timer you could even try a ceramic heat lamp (used for reptile aquariums) but then the price of that with the timer you might as well get the temp controller.

    Foam, so much foam!

The way I understand it is a longer hose will slow down the pour because it takes more pressure to push it that length because of beer line resistance. A larger diameter hose would have more foam though. I have 6' of 3/16" hose with a picnic tap set at 10 PSI and it comes out fast but I don't...

    Jockey box

I like the idea of a higher collar to completely enclose the corny. I wonder if there are "taller" coolers on the market so you could keep the collar even smaller.

    Wine Bottles?? Will that work?

Agreed, don't use wine bottles for beer. Even if you get a wire harness for champagnes around it you still could have a bottle bomb. I would keg it and then use something like this: Beer gun to bottle when you need it.

How low can you go? Kegged beer in the garage!

Good question, I am 10 minutes outside Cincinnati, kegs are in the garage and I was wondering the same thing. I think I need to check it when I get home make sure nothing has frozen up. If it is frozen I have no idea what I am going to do because I have no room in any other refrigerator. :(

Removed the dip tube from a Sanke keg

Hah! I am of the school of thought that any internet instruction should be written assuming the person reading it is a moron. The more info the better. Go read forums from other sites around the net and you will see what I am getting at. Haven't found any idiots on HBT though, the beer must...
