I've heard that plastic bottles allow oxidation of the beer over time...anyone encountered this? I'm about to bottle my first batch of beer and I was wondering about investing in cheapo plastic bottles from my home brew store or getting the swing cap glass bottles ($40.00 for 12X500mL!!!)...

I recently used the S-33 yeast from Safbrew. It took almost 72 hours to become vigorously active in a 5 gallon batch of double oatmeal stout (OG - 1.050). Is this a normal occurrence? Does anyone have experience with this type of yeast or perhaps brewing stouts?
