    Quick reply needed, first brew!!

Just leave it be. Everyone worries a bit, but trust us...you run the risk of hosing the batch if you keep messing with it. Mine I just bottled sat for 2 solid weeks and no bubbles. It's beer, it does what it does, don't rush it.

"Is there anybody out there?" -thats sold homebrew

A quicker alternative. I have and am, brewing for a friend of mine. It started with a free duo pack, and he liked it and had questions. I answered them and suggested he try to brew some, and I would assist. He suggested I sell the brew to him. I suggested he "donate to the beer fund". This...

"Granny Smith soaked in cheap beer". I don't know, but that's a funny mental image. Good job on the brew. Don't wait, start another.

Well. let's see. House is at 70, but airleaks allowed for at 10 below, probably right around 63-65. The yeast was (is?) just a foil pack of Coopers, rehydrated before pitch. It was pretty active before Read original post) BTW, it's still bubbling and I think it just said "give me that...

    It's not gonna stop....

I've got a brew going now that is ....really active. I put it together upon request of a buddy, he wanted real simple, just a "can and a kilo" type of thing. Anyhow, I brewed Tuesday, and it's still chugging along today. I mean 2-3 bubbles every 3-4 seconds. I rehydrated the yeast before...

Do I really NEED a hydrometer for Extract Kits?

You need the hydrometer. It gives you something to drop and break just before you are going to use it. True..sad..story. Beer turned out pretty good though.

Sounds like you're set, BTW where in Fbnks do you get your supplies? And are you familiar with the brew club there?

When cleaning bottles in a dishwasher

You could just pull off the grommets and clean them, Also, it's a better way to inspect them for aging (cracks, wear rings, etc...). Personally, they're cheep so I just replace them every other session.

Just be careful washing, you don't want to scratch it up. Save up for a glass carboy (get a handle with it) and just brew......

Worst Dumb Mistake You've Made While Drunk?

Okay, rock climbing at night in the Mojave, trying to do that "Clint Eastwood chimney climb" in Eiger Sanction. Could not figure out why it was so damned hard to keep my footing (I ruled out the alcohol of course) Anyhow I kept slipping until I whacked my head on a sand ceiling...WTF? It was...
