First off, if this ad violates the rules of the classifieds, apologies and I'll take it down. We developed this brewery over a decade ago based heavily on techniques and even items gleaned from Homebrewtalk.com - it was our foremost and best resource in an era where nano breweries were hard...
Would anyone be willing to point me in the right direction?
I am looking for a turn-key solution for our existing MT. It's 2.5 BBL. Set up for single infusion. It suffers from temp stratification issues. I want to add a RIMS tube or something similar. Would like to purchase a panel, elements...
Hi, I purchased a custom corny keg washer a couple of years ago and want to convert is to Sanke. Looking for help in the Boston area in order to make sense of the process. Anyone in Boston (Quincy) with appropriate knowlege feel like helping out. Or anyone here have any advice, specifically...
+1 on taking a hydrometer reading. Airlocks lie.
Did you aerate prior to pitching the 05?
Raising the temp to 74 on 05 could possibly cause estery flavors (I know it well). Letting it secondary for 6-8 weeks usually burns off the undesirables.
Old thread, but still relevant. I'm pretty convinced both are good products. just to clarify, the Blichmann Ferminator is only pressurized up to 3PSI, enough for moving beer but not carbing. I must have overtightened the rotating racking arm the first time I assembled it b/c it leaks when you...
Also, for those wanting ingredients check out La Bodega de Chema in San Jose for homebrewing ingredients and beer sharing. www.bodegadechema.com

Just to finish off the post. Nearly 2 years ago I purchased 25 used and in generally ****ty shape kegs in Boston and shipped them down along with a couple other pallets of used hard to find items.
It may be possible to buy corny kegs off of the Costa Rica Craft Beer Company in Cartago...
You know I'm not sure how to measure the dead-space loss... the bottom surface of the cooler has a tapered < going towards the ball valve and we lose some liquid there. I imagine it could be better with one larger false bottom but we are generally near our SG's.
Thinking of building a new MT...
I PM'd Piper a while back but thought I would share in case others are interested:
Piper, you need permits to sell beer in CR. Homebrewing looks to be legal, according to FANAL, the liquor control, however nothing is completely clear on this subject. Plan on importing all ingredients - most...
Hey all, just a quick update. We built the system last year, spent six month working on it, learning to brew with it and had a soft opening January last year for the 6 month season. Sold draft beer at local restaurant and for weddings, catered parties and other events. Back to work in the US...
