    A Thought - Mentorship Swap???

I'd be interested. Never got anyone interested in my critique thread posted a few weeks back. I wouldn't need or want anything in return, just feedback.

    Will someone critique my beer?

The irish red was a packaged kit from midwest. Steep + extract The hefeweizen was an extract recipe that I found here and modified a little bit: Ingredients: ------------ Amount Item Type % or IBU 2 lbs 4.0 oz Extra Light Dry...

    Will someone critique my beer?

Yep, I've looked for homebrewing clubs and none in my area are still active.

    Will someone critique my beer?

I'm still pretty new to brewing, and my first two batches are bottled and ready to drink. But I'm not real happy with either. I'd like to send a few bottles to someone who is very familiar with both kinds of brews and get some honest feedback on both. I've got a hefeweizen and an irish...

Pumpkin Beer, hey how much pumpkin?

My local micro-brewery makes a pumpkin ale every year and releases it on Halloween. They sold out their first batch in one day, 263 gallons gone. I picked up 2 gallons last night, and finished half of one the same night. I really need to make my own.

Still working on a case of SA Oktoberfest. It's pretty good and I'm enjoying them. I might pick up another case. Great bottles, too.

    Recipe Request: First Brew

An Irish Red Ale would be very tastey and easy brew. Although the 1-2-3 is probably still in effect.

first brew Hefe Q's, did i mess this up?

Sounds fine. I just bottled a hefe last week and I didn't have any blow off. I left it in the pail for 2 weeks and when I bottled, the krausen had already fallen.

Cream of Three Crops - Mini mash

I'm doing the same thing this weekend, although my recipe is just a tad different. I'm doing the 90 minute boil too.

How do you go about developing/choosing a recipe??

I use beersmith as well. For my last 2 batches, I found a few recipes that I liked for what I was trying to make, combined the parts that looked good, and used the wizardry of BeerSmith to convert it to my size of boil and my late addition extract method.

    Floaties

I wonder if you could use a hops bag tied on the end to do the same thing?
