    Distilling Legally? opinion, thoughts or ideas.

    Just so you're aware, freezing and removing alcohol is not distilling. This has been verified via ATF. Distilling is just that, distillation.

    Got a free chest freezer. Clean it or sell/scrap it?

    Yeah a cheap ozone for a few days. Also fill to the brim with water and leave to soak. Replace the seals. Toothbrush to all the corners. And then leave to air out. The smell will go... Just takes time. I do this for a living.

    Star San in my fermentation bucket

    Yeah you will be fine. The owner of 5 star says that once it goes over a certain pH level (2ph I think) it turns in to a nutrient for bacteria etc. It's also made of food grade ingredients that are found in food etc. I believe he said he has even drink it on occasion to prove its safety...
