    Help! Johnson's A419 Controller (using 24vac version w/ a 120vac Mini Fridge))

The manual says the Relay Electrical Ratings for the 24v model are: 100 VA, 30 VAC Maximum, Class 2 so yeah doesn't sound like it would withstand the voltage without buying another relay too. Well time to dust off the old ebay account lol. Thanks

    Help! Johnson's A419 Controller (using 24vac version w/ a 120vac Mini Fridge))

Ah yeah ok. Sounds like it wouldn't be worth it unless I can find a free/cheap transformer. I'll probably just put it on ebay, thanks for the response.

    Help! Johnson's A419 Controller (using 24vac version w/ a 120vac Mini Fridge))

Hello! So.. I was at a garage sale last week and saw a new in box Johnson's a419 temp controller. It was $30 which i thought was a good deal at the time, but I failed to realize it wasn't the 120vac version, it is the 24vac version. Luckily before I wired it to 120v I noticed it was the GBF...

Thanks for the replies I am going to go get some distilled water today and test the calibration on my hydrometer, my first 4 brew attempts I hit my OG and FG numbers almost exactly so it didn't dawn on me that the hydrometer could be off. Grain bill was: 8oz Flaked Corn 8oz Pale Malt...

    FG too high.. Fermentation stuck?

Thanks for the quick replies. I guess ill just wait another week for the American Ale yeast to clear and then bottle. Can I take the sugar/vanilla water I mixed and save it for a week in the fridge then re-boil it for my priming sugar? Or should I buy more vanilla powder and priming sugar and...

    FG too high.. Fermentation stuck?

Hey everyone, I just want to start by saying I did use the search feature and read a lot of info.. maybe too much.. now I am confused. I made an AHS Orange Creamsicle Ale extract brew kit. I used White Labs Cream Ale Yeast Blend and made a 1000ml starter. The estimated OG was supposed to be...
