So I just racked a new beer to a keg yesterday, and I connected the out tap line to the keg. I ran some beer through it to remove the oxgen from the line (and ultimately the keg).
I'm wondering when you guys connect your out tap lines?

Just opened my third ever batch -- a dry stout kit from AHS. It's a clone of Anderson Valley Brewing Company Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout.
It's been bottle aging for three weeks, and is fully carbonated but tastes aweful. Kind of bland and astringent.
I think I've read that stouts need more...
Brewed this tonight and made a rookie mistake. Used only 7lbs of LME. Should have used about 20% more to adjust for the conversion between LME and DME. Ended up with a 1.05 OG. I will have an American Pale Ale instead of an IPA. Oh well. Still looking forward to it.
