the last kit i did (my second) came with hops and i too wondered if i needed to put them in a bag. Called the guy at the LHBS and told me to just through them in there. They did disolve pretty well BUT i did wish I poured my wort through a strainer. Not there is all sorts of floatsum in me...

so can someone tell me where to get the caramel for this recipe? Can't seem to find any at some of the brew shops online. Or is it just plain old caramel? surely not.

Ok so i just bottled my first batch and pretty sure it won't be the best. been thinking of all the things i done did wrong. Well the list keeps going. The most noticable problem i had with this batch is it made a mess. Foamed and bubbled all over the place. My question is this... When...

OK so i just picked up a glass carboy from the shop as well as a brewers best recipe kit. I thought the kit came with the bag to soak the hops in the water. but it didn't, so i am wondering if i can just toss them in the pot and then strain it before i mix in the rest of the ingredients...
