Great thanks for the advice. I'm using high temp silicone tubing so I can mold my tubing. But I'll probably cut a longer length that way it will push the pan to the edge of the cooler.
Has anyone had the problem of grain getting under the pizza pan? I had a serious stuck sparge this weekend. I had to empty the mash tun and found that my pizza pan had lifted up. Did I just stir to vigorously or what?
Awesome, well I'm gonna go for it because it was only $0.98 at Walmart. zzARzz how did you get the barbs off the bottom? I might just get pliers for the big ones and leave the little ones.
I loved this idea and I went with it. I found a pizza pan that says "steel" construction from Walmart. Any idea if this would be safe in a mash tun? I trimmed it down to size and it fits perfectly into the 10 gal rubbermaid. Here's a picture.
I've been looking all over for a 3/4" SS washer that fits over 1/2" parts for my mash tun. I only need one. Willing to give $2-3 paypal if you can mail it to me. I really don't want to by the pack of 15 for $12 and pay $8 shipping!
Beer shank: 4in with faucet. Lightly used. Asking $20 plus shipping.
Mash tun: 10 gal igloo cooler with CPVC manifold and brass hardware (1/2in output). Works great for me. I drop 2-3deg F an hour in it (with blanket covering it). Getting rid of it because I want to upgrade. Asking $25. I'd...
I'd love to see what your children look like after you try this!
In all seriousness, DO NOT put this in your wort! A serious medical complication is NOT worth saving $40.
Looking for a 5/8" SS washer. I know I can order them online for a $1.50 but I figure I might as well compensate someone who bought a 10 pack. Let me know if you have one.
Simple and effective. I did the same thing but built planters out of palates I got free from Sears. As I'm sure someone will mention you'll have to give them a permanent home in a couple years.
