Plaato is 100% sanitizable and waterproof. The lower part (with three leds) is a "click-on" external sensor part that reads the flow of CO2 using infrared sensors through the bottom of the airlock.

Plaato measures and sends Specific Gravity, temperature and fermentation activity through internet to the Plaato app.
