Update - I bought a couple things for my new build and had no issues at all. Took a few weeks to get but saved some $$ and am not in any big hurry. Definitely will buy from AliExpress again.

Don’t mean to derail, but GFCI is not dependent on a ground and is permitted by NEC in a system without a ground. Obviously the ground is important in its own right so the element should be repaired/replaced.

I have an Anova also. Love it! I made a ribeye roast yesterday. Rubbed heavily with salt and placed uncovered in the refrigerator for a few days then vac sealed and into bath for 7hrs @ 133. Then seared on a super hot grill. It turned out great
