Why does this beer have no flavor?

Yeah, when the beer was a little warmer it had a little flavor, but by flavor, there isn't much of a malty body to it...tastes watered down and the hop bitterness and flavor isn't too evident except for the after taste

How long will it take to prime a bottle of beer?

At the end of my last brewing run I started kegging beer and drinking it within the next couple days and have learned that some beers taste damn good right away. I just bottled my first batch in a long time and am just wondering how long it will take to carbonate? I ask because all...

Had no lid on bottling bucket used Foil!?!?

Cool, thanks! I can't remember if I put a lid on it or not. During the end of my brewing run I was always kegging it and shooting some CO2 into the kegs before filling. BTW, the beer tasted fantastic......IPA

Had no lid on bottling bucket used Foil!?!?

Just started brewing again and had no bottling bucket lid. I had to use foil which doesn't really give a nice tight seal. As a matter of fact, how was the beer siphoned before with the lid on? was there a hole? I think I remember a hole. Anyway, will the beer have a chance of making it? It...

If I have lots of trub in fermenter, how high should I fill fermenter?

I brewed an IPA with lots of hops and 2lbs of specialty grains. I have lots of trub,,,about three inches on the bottom of a 6.5 Carboy. Should I still fill it to the 5 gallon mark I made by adding five gallons of water to the carboy or should I go over that line to compensate for the 3 inches of...

Are you serious? I just posted the exact same post over at Realbeer.com. I just started brewing also after four years. I started my comeback off with an IPA. The bad part is realizing which equipment is usual and which equipment is missing. I moved about 4 years ago which is why I haven't...
