    Good Base for Blackberry Wheat?

That is a useful tip, but what I failed to mention is that I've got a ton of frozen blackberries harvested from my backyard which inspired the plan, and I'll be using them. (Last year we did a blackberry barleywine.) I'm planning to camden 'em.

    Good Base for Blackberry Wheat?

Hi folks, The roomie and I are having a party at the end of the summer and, among other things, are going to show off the new kegging set-up with four brews on tap. Three of them (Ed's Apfelwein, Vanilla Chocolate Porter, and a DFH 60-minute clone) are underway, but I've still got one more...

Weissbier Bee Cave Brewery Bavarian Hefeweizen

I am looking to brew a blackberry wheat and was thinking about starting with this recipe then racking onto the blackberries in secondary. Do you think that will work alright or would a different recipe be better for this purpose? In general, I have great faith in all things EdWort. :) Thanks!

    2009 Longshot Entries?

Dropping mine off later this week... Does anyone know if you still have to package it up in a box if you're just dropping them off in person, or can I just hand them a 4-pack?

Fruit Beer Summers End Peach Wheat

I'm looking to make a Blackberry Wheat and this seems like it might be a good recipe to work from. Do you think I could just swap the 3# of peach for blackberry? My one concern is sanitizing. I was thinking I'd have to boil the fruit at least briefly, but it sounds like you didn't do anything...

    Brewing Babe in Boston

That description is, I believe, from their "Triple Matured", not the regular one, which seems to list different ingredients (golden promise and crystal malt, phoenix hops). Unfortunately, in either case, I don't know how to turn the grains+hops into a recipe. I should take this to one of the...

    Brewing Babe in Boston

*laugh* Well, I started with just "Brewing in Boston", but then decided to go all out with the alliteration. Not too many replies, though. Clearly I need to include a photo next time. ;) So I hosted a potluck tonight and had fun showing off my beer, which people quite enjoyed, even if my...

    Brewing Babe in Boston

It would indeed be nice to have all of that information. :) I'd like to do an Innis & Gunn clone, which is a (bourbon) oak-aged English Strong (or Pale, depending on where you look) Ale. All I know are some ingredients: Golden Promise and Crystal Malt grains and Phoenix hops. And of course...

    Brewing Babe in Boston

Good tip about the software. I'd figured I'd post the ingredients to a relevant forum and someone with more experience than me could figure something out. I may do that anyway, since I'm not sure I'd trust my calculations given my limited experience. I haven't actually made the apfelwein...

    Brewing Babe in Boston

Greetings, Sitting here waiting for various sanitizing cycles to complete so that I can bottle, I figured it was a good time to finally say hello. I've been brewing for about two years, having apprenticed with my roommate, who's been brewing for around fifteen. (He's an all-grain snob, so I...
