    Keg to bottle question...

Hi Everyone, Thanks so much in advanced for your collective insight! Anyways, here is the scenario... About 7 months ago I kegged some brown ale and force carbonated. I drank about two pints, and then a leak in the keg caused my CO2 to run out, and the beer went flat. I have been pretty...

    Re-Carbonating Flat Beer

You can check it every now and again and adjust the psi so it will not be overcarbed. Is the keg cold? Either way, the corn sugar will probably not ferment out so you have added some sweetness to an oxidized beer. But hey, it was free and has alcohol in it :ban:

    C02 Leak Question

So what about the BEER, still good? Keg lost pressure about 2 months ago, with only about 1/2 gallon gone. Once the leak is found, can I recarb it?

    C02 Leak Question

So what do you all think about the beer, still alright if it is recarbed?

    C02 Leak Question

Thanks for the reply. There is not an o-ring, but there is a white plastic washer.

    C02 Leak Question

So, I have a leak in my keg system somewhere. I sprayed everything down with soapy water, and found no bubbles after close inspection. I know there must be a leak somewhere, I can ever so slightly hear the C02 constantly dispensing, and of course, my C02 is gone after about 2 days. However...

    Emeregency!

Just a thought, considering you do not have an airlock, does your beer come out of the primary with carbonation?

    Brew Pot in Freezer?

I thought about that, but I always just add tap water anyways (which I doubt is any cleaner than the ice). Thanks for the reply!

    Brew Pot in Freezer?

Speaking of cooling wort, when brewing with extract you usually only boil about three gallons. Could you not just add ice to the hot wort to cool it down quickly? Would there be a problem with that?

    Corny keg ?

Even with a Sanke Tap I would not be able to attach my ball lock disconnects to it, right?

    Corny keg ?

Thanks for the replies... I just need to learn that patience is a virtue...

    Corny keg ?

The brewery said they did not have fittings for corny kegs and they were unable to do it. Could they not just fill it up like I would rack it into the keg, and then I could purge it and pressurize it when I got home?

    Corny keg ?

So, I converted the Sanyo 4912 with a corny keg and draft tower and am very anxious to fill my keg. Still have a while to wait on my current homebrew, so I was wondering if it would work to fill up the keg with some brew from the local microbrewery while I wait? Would there be any problems...

    High final gravity

I was already worried about the fusels....the high beginning temp. led to a strong :ban: smell. Maybe I should just toss it and start over... Relax....don't worry...have a homebrew (my first two batches are great!)

    High final gravity

yeah...I look ridiculous..now I realize the L in LME means liquid (not light)....so....it was all liquid....3.3 lbs Light and 6.6 lbs Amber. So the AME (Amber Malt Extract) I wrote about...just me being stupid :)
