I'm brewing this now.11/2/11. Just doing 5 gal and I added .25 cara-pils to the mash for head retention. Also I didn't do the double decotion. This is my first pilsner as I just recently got a lagering fridge. I will try and report back in few months on the results. Thanks for the recipe.
This place let me trade in an out of date empty 20lb tank for a new full one. Can't remember the exact price but it was less than $30.

I recently lost a half corny keg (ball lock) full of beer and am not sure why. I had a nice double chocolate stout in the keg for over a month with no problems. This weekend I put about 10-15psi in the keg to keep some pressure on it and then removed both the CO2 and liquid hose quick...
Are you sure you have a 7.2 and not a 5.1? I have a 7.2 Tapan keezer with a 2x6 collar and can fit five corny's. Two on the bump and three on the floor. Something is not adding up here.
How did the beer turn out? I recently experienced a similar problem. I brewed an oatmeal stout with extract and my OG was way low. I'm guessing it's because the wort and water I added to get to 5 gallons wasn't mixed when I took the reading. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
