    Pineapple in Cider

Thanks @doublejef I was about to reply to @madscientist451 then saw your post. I've made several batches of Tepache and really liked the taste, that's why I wanted to blend with cider to see what will come out of it. I've actually left my tepache sit for up to 2 months (bottle conditioned) and...

    Cyder makers in Johannesburg

Hi Guys, Any craft cider makers in Johannesburg? My friends and I have developed a liking for cider brewing and tasting and would be great to sample local products. NB Not large scale brands that you can find in stores.

    Pineapple in Cider

Hi Brewers, I've been experimenting with cider flavours lately. I have a new batch in primary and was thinking of trying to add some pineapples for flavour once primary fermentation ends. Has anyone tried this before? how was the outcome? Thanks all.

    Using Rooibos

Thank you guys for the info. I've also recently started making Kombucha and I currently have 2 batches, 1 with black tea and one with Rooibos. I will see how they go and try to blend the two in the future. I've used blueberry flavour in the bottling stage and it came out amazing.

    store-bought vs crushed

Hey Chalkyt, thanks for the good advice, since I live in a city (Johannesburg, South Africa) with no Apple farms around, I’ll have to try your ticks on the store-bought Apple juice. But I’ll look around I might find fellow brewers who might know how to access fresh pressed apple juice. Thanks again

    store-bought vs crushed

Hi Bernardsmith, thank you very much for your insightful reply. Since im a beginner, ive made my first batch with store-bought juice but my next will definitely be from crashed apples.

    store-bought vs crushed

hi guys, I’m fairly new in the homebrew world, started during the COVID-19 lockdown and I’m liking it. I’ve gotten to like ciders so far and I have a question for the experienced members. Does cider made from store-bought apple juice different from the one made from crushed apples?
