    First Batch Question

    I got a bunch of those glass vase stone on clearance from walmart. Wash and boil them, then drop them in your carbouy. Racking is kinda weird, just don't get your wand down in the stones. The lee's will settle on top of the stones and kinda sift down.

    It was Edwort's apfelwein so no primary and about 35 days. It was crystal clear when I bottled it. It isn't heavy enough to be lees, it isn't reasting on the bottom, but floating in the bottom couple of inches of each bottle.

    P.S. I just did a small batch adding apple juice and it was kinda weird. it was like taking a bite from 2 apples at once. It sounds interesting but i think a contrasting flavor is more suitable.

    I started my first 5.25gal batch on 1-18. Already clouded up and looking good. My sams club only sold in 96oz bottle 2 packs. I didn't use the 8th bottle because I want to transfer it out of my primary in the near future.

    I started this on the 29th of Dec. The OG was 1.085 and on the 3rd it was 1.035. I took a reading yesterday and it was already at .995. The first six day in the secondary was like a bubble machine.
