Potential new way to air into the wort.

That's exactly how I do it when I don't get enough aeration when I pour it from the (chilled) wort tun.

    Soda Smell?

Go for it. I got 4 for $100 shipped off ebay. They're a little dented in a few places (especially the rims), but they were worth it!

Flavor changes when kegging/bottling... (flavor demolition)

I recently got four more Cornelius kegs so that I could keg my brews and have them sit for a while (as in long enough for me to take my exams and then enjoy the holiday spirits). Things have happened. Not pleasant things. When I kegged this time, my EPA got a bit of a rough bite to it. It's not...

    Kegerators and closets

You need ventilation. Just remove the closet door. Put the screws back in the threshold so that you don't lose them.

corny keg, why not a regular keg?

Yes, there is a way, but you would have to either buy expensive equipment or spend a lot of time fabricating.

    Dope for brass gas fittings?

Teflon for NPT fittings and nothing for flared fittings

    Possible Glycol Chiller?

HAH. I would NEVER run antifreeze through my food setup to chill my beer. Dangerous, dangerous. It may be permissible for the French to prepare their alcohols with ethylene glycol, but things are a little different over there...

    new leak problem

Close the valve when you're done dispensing for the day.

    4 year old Iodophor

As long as it has its color, it should be fine.

    Co2 tank

That shouldn't matter, though. Most companies deal with cylinder trade-ins. Trade the CO2 cylinder for one filled with "beer gas" (heheheh) for a minimal charge.

    Mash tun design question

If your false bottom is above the heating element, the configuration should allow for more even heating of the mash unless your false bottom is made of plastic and has no holes... Heat gradually, and stir frequently.

Putting a spigot in an AL boil pot?

    IMPOSSIBLE? Try friction welding ;)

    Barley Crusher ?

Tell her that if she buys this for you, you will spend less time crushing grain and therefore more time with her...as long as she thinks that that is a good thing.

    Help - Leak!!!!

You could get a low-power inverter TIG machine with pulser and all for about half that. With a backpurge of argon, a pinhole leak could be fixed with about a second of welding. For what these stooges are charging, they are not doing their job. Ideas: 1. Hire competent welders 2. Inspect...
