Belgian Tripel Belgian Trippel (2006 World Beer Cup Gold Medal: Dragonmead Final Absolution clone)

Not sure why it got so low. Yes, it was all grain true to the original recipe. Mashed at 149. Used WLP500 with a starter. Fermented at 68 degs.

Belgian Tripel Belgian Trippel (2006 World Beer Cup Gold Medal: Dragonmead Final Absolution clone)

Thanks for the reply. Seemed like everyone else was finishing so much higher. I was afraid I may get poor results. I tried some today, it was ok but still very green as its only 2 weeks old. I will let you know how it turns out.

    Festbier BierMuncher's OktoberFAST Ale (AG)

Brewed this beer up a few times now exact to the original recipe. Going to brew it up again this weekend. I have some Marris otter and some US 2 row I am think of subbing out for the Pilsner. Any thoughts on that? Going to try using 1450 yeast too. I don't like changing more than 1 thing at a...

Sweet Stout Left Hand Milk Stout Clone

Getting ready to finish my 15th gallon soon. Good stuff. I add nibs to the secondary to make it a chocolate milk stout. Funny thing, sitting on the porch at night I find that I have to cover the glass or I'll end up drinking a moth or two. They love swimming in it! I'd have some in every glass...

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

Recipe says batch size is 5.5 gal. Is that post boil volume before going into the fermentor? I'm pretty sure I'm going to give this a try this weekend. I've never made a beer this light, only doing it for friends and family. Very curious as to how much flavor it has...... Hope it's not too light...

    Festbier BierMuncher's OktoberFAST Ale (AG)

I was wondering. Normaly if I pitch the proper amount of yeast, in this case 04, I can get to final gravity in a week or 2 at 60 deg followed a slow increase to 70. Can I cold crash at this point or should I give it a full month or so in the fermentor? Lately I've stopped using a secondary and...
