    Adding Hops when Bottling

from my earlier post, this batch clocked in at 7 IBU's when I put the recipe into hopville. This was my first batch back after 5 yrs, so once I realized I would have an under hopped beer in all 3 categories (bitterness, flavor, aroma) after using only 1 oz of 3.2 cascades in the boil, I wanted...

I thought I ruined a nice batch of cascade pale ale with my auto siphon. I never strained the hops out of my wort and after sitting 3 weeks in the primary, I had a hell of a time racking to a bottling bucket. Air bubbles, hop gunk, everything. I eventually dumped what was left in my primary...

Pairing Simcoe with Chinook Hops - any good?

That looks delicious, I love cascade, I might dry hop with that or more simcoe. Is this Ranger as in New Belgium? One of the few beers I really enjoy from them.

    New Columbus, Ohio Homebrew Site

I love to see this happening in columbus. I think it's great that they added the pub and home brew store which can carry the Brew On Premises Idea. I got my start at the Wine Makers Shop just North of these guys on High st. They didn't carry much besides kits, but it was a start. What a...

    Strong smell!!!

I love the evap cooler method, I work from home a lot so I don't need a bin filled with water. I just put the fermenter on top of a towel, put a t shirt over it, and mist it down every now and then. I also keep frozen gallon jugs in my closet, and a fan if necessary. I finally have my brew...
