    Homebrew Supplies in Alaska?

If you're in Fairbanks, you can get grain at Gavora's Liquor store in town. They usually stock 50 lb bags of the basics like pale and pilsner malt for $50 - $70, but the manager will probably order you anything you want, you just have to wait for his next shipment to come in. Ugh. Bottle Bombs. Sierra Nevada Bottles Anyone?

Skidaddy is right, I need a new capper. But, it does work great on all other bottles. Something about the neck-to-lip height. Even when i'm careful, I'll break at least one out of every case. I'm glad they work for others though. I'll trade for the new redhook stubbies any day. What I...

    anyone use canned hop extract?

there's no label or brand on the can. I think it's bulk stuff for commercial use. here's what is printed on the top of the can: COLUMBUS S CO2 15 0 G ALPHA CROP 2010 10328102 Feels like the can contains a tarry substance. It's a gold can a about the size of two tuna cans.

    anyone use canned hop extract?

A buddy gave me a can of hop extract, but I have no idea how to use it. I've always used real hops. It's a little bigger than a tuna can and says "Columbus 15.0 % alpha" If anyone knows how much of this stuff is equal to an ounce of said hops, please let me know. Thanks.
