@Bobby_M, checking because it's unclear from the product description. Are the actual sizes of the main body tee the same between the 1.5 TC and 2 TC version of the Steamslayer?

I've been poring through this thread for a bit, such a great idea. Has anybody figured out/ experimented with whether a 2" or 1.5" tee is more effective when connected to a 1.5" port?

I assume this setting is available on all EZ-boil controllers. Do you see any reason to go for the more expensive option other than programmable step mashing?

Any concerns about the non-waterproof nature of this box? Looking at building a control panel soon and I like how compact and neat it seems, but wondering if I should be finding something more waterproof.

Is the auber cube different in this regard? That's one of the things pushing me to build my own controller, being able to have a hard shutoff for the element.

Thanks for chiming in Bobby! I actually just ordered a bunch of my electric brewing setup from you, only waiting to decide on a controller. I’m planning on mostly doing ebiab with the occasional batch using a cooler mash tun for larger batch sizes or bigger beers. Seems I can’t go wrong either...

Any thoughts on how this compares to the Auber Cube (s)? I am leaning towards a ready to use controller or kit instead of doing it myself from parts and had been looking at the Auber cube or ebiab controller. This seems a lot more user friendly but I don't want to sacrifice any capabilities I...
