The best beer bar that I have been to was the Hop Cat in grand rapids michigan. They have a great tap selection (not as amazing as some of the lists here) but they had a lot of stuff that was otherwise really difficult to find in the area.
Founder's Kentucky Breakfast Stout
Founder's Devil Dancer Triple IPA
Founder's Old Crumudgen
Bell's HopSlam!
Bell's Expedition Stout
Bell's Two Hearted Ale
Short's Huma Lupa Licious

Short's Bellaire Brown Ale
Arcadia IPA
Goose Island Bourbon County Stout
Goose Island Matilda...
I am sipping on one of these right now and there is so much going on in this beer I am almost confused. every time I take a drink I taste something different. Mostly though I am getting a lot of rasin and licorice flavors. I am a fan.
I stopped into my local beer store today and was excited to see that KBS was back. Since I missed out on it last year, I had to pick up a bottle today.
Has anyone had this year's batch yet?
I picked up a six pack of this a week or two ago and I was not impressed. I am pretty sure that pilsners are just not my style. The beer seemed to have a very strong metalic taste to it that made it difficult to finish. I will probably never purchase this again.
I have never owned a mechanical pencil as I only use a pencil to take exams. I do own a cross fountain pen that I love.
I have had it for about four years with no leaking problems so far.
I will toss another vote in for shorts.
Also if you happen to pass Mt Pleasant on the way up, it may be worth it to stop in to mt town station for lunch/dinner. Their beer is pretty mediocre, but their steakhouse is fantastic.
