Thanks for the comments. I keged it. Never noticed that before, maybe because i dont normally put it in a glass carboy.

I just posted on the same topic. "Moldly beer" https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=18350 I am religious about sanitization so i think it must be contaminated yeast, but who knows. My white labs ale yeast is a few batches (and months) old so i think it was imprudent of me to use it...

I should probably mention that i'm new here. been reading for a long time and became a member recently. I've been brewing and making wine for years but still learning there is always so much more you can learn!

So i went to rack two batches out of the seconday into kegs and one had a layer of film on the top. The other had numerious large mold bubbles the size of golf balls! WTF! I am very careful about sanitizing! perhaps this is from the air on top of the secodnary? (I had to use a 6 gal carboy...
