Connecting Sankey Tap to Picnic Faucet

Absolutely, Bobby. I've got the tank, regulator, distributor and hoses ready to go! It's just that the tower and drip tray I want are too damn expensive for me right now. My real question comes when I want to connect the picnic faucet to the coupler. Most towers I've seen have to screw-on nut...

Connecting Sankey Tap to Picnic Faucet

Hey guys, I was just wondering now that my keezer project is properly insulated and have the temperature control device installed if it would be possible to connect a commercial keg to a sankey coupler and have the beer line connected to 5-6 ft. of 3/16" tubing connected with a picnic tap. This...

    Yet Another Freezer Conversion

Thanks! I'm guessing you used the 1". Is that enought insulation for the top or are you losing coldness?

    Yet Another Freezer Conversion

Where did you get that type of insulation for the lid?! I've been looking around for it, but I can't seem to find it. I need to do the same exactly lining on the top like you did. Is there any special name to it?

    Helloooooo from PA!

Joined the Central PA group. Sounds like a good time. Keep me posted on events and I'll make it down to LBC in August.

    NooBie from York, PA

I'm gonna piggyback on qdog's piggyback here. I'm from York (Queen St.) new to the forum and always up for trades, brew days, etc. I've got a nice IPA that's been aging in a corny while my new kegerator is being built. Feel free to shoot me a line if you ever need something in a pinch or want to...

    Helloooooo from PA!

I'm from York and new to the forum too. Damn, I never knew there were so many of us in Central PA. I've got lots of capacity (kegs and carboys) and I'm always firing up the kettle to fill 'em. Where are all the York people?

    Keg Carbing at Room Temp

Thank you Bobby, that is exactly the information I was looking for. It's at 30 psi right now in the unplugged chest freezer. I'll just disconnect after 2 weeks and cellar until the kegerator is complete.

    Keg Carbing at Room Temp

So I consulted the temp/psi chart from the sticky on this forum about carbonation and it warns me that the temp I entered (70 deg.) is too high for unpasturized beer and it warns that it will spoil quickly. Now I've been brewing for a few years, and I'm by no means an expert, but it seems like...

    Ahhh...good ol' common sense!

    Keg Carbing at Room Temp

Yep! That's the one. I'm planning on using the valve on the regulator to feed a 4 port distributor. How would I know if the valves on the distributor have check valves, or would I have to fit all the distributor's valves with new check valves?

    Keg Carbing at Room Temp

That's the thing, I really DO want to hook it to the gas and I DON'T want to prime it with anything.

    Keg Carbing at Room Temp

Way ahead of you on that on findthefish. However that will come sometime after the thermostat controller. Also, I have a premium series Micromatic dual guage regulator and the outlet valve on it looks exactly like a check valve. Am I being too hopeful in thinking there is a check valve already...

    Keg Carbing at Room Temp

Thanks for the speedy reply guys. My priming sugar went away with my bottles so that's not an option. So the consensus is to set at 40 psi and let it sit?

    Keg Carbing at Room Temp

Hello to everyone! I've been reading these forums for longer than I can remember and they have been a wealth of information for me, so my many thanks go out. Now that I'm registered (FINALLY!), I've got a question that I know one of you can shed some light on. I just got done racking my...
