    Iowa Ball Lock Kegs

I've decided to clear out some extra kegs. I have 7 of them to sell and they are 5 gallon ball lock kegs in good shape, all of them hold pressure and don't have any major damage. Asking $55 each. One keg only has one handle, $50 for that one. Local pick up only at this point. You can email...

    Keg c02 leak?

its very possible that your co2 post doesn't seat perfectly every time you disconnect it. My question would be why are you disconnecting the co2? you can get a rebuild kit for the post if you want, but there normally isn't any reason that you need to disconnect the co2.

    brand new keggles

If i were going to do it again, I would cut the bottom out of the HLT and MT and then use the factory spear opening as a bottom drain. i like having the side drain on my kettle so that I can leave some of the hops and trub.

What kind of pump do I need?

I think an air compressor could solve both of these problems. run sanitizer through the pump and line, then use the compressor to blow it out. Then repeat with wort.

Crushing grains, what do u use

I'm using a cereal killer from adventures in homebrewing. works great and beats about every other roller mill on price with a base and hopper for $99 free shipping.

What kind of pump do I need?

He is trying to avoid carrying the wort from the garage to where he ferments. That said I don't know if a march or chugger that most of us use for brewing would have enough power to pump through that or if you'd have to go up to more of a micro-brewery type pump.

Do I need a ball valve on a chugger pump?

If this is your goal there is no need for a valve on the pump. you can use the valve on the hlt to prime the pump. I think that everyone is responding with how it works in their system instead of what you're looking to do. I agree with them that having the valve on the outlet of the pump adds...

Do I need a ball valve on a chugger pump?

The only reason you would need a ball valve on the output of the pump is if you want to regulate the flow. If you want full flow all the time, which it sounds like you're good with, then you don't need a valve there.

    Co2 usage

You will have less co2 used in solution with the beer, but probably lose a little more co2 in purging the large headspace. All together I would say you'll probably use about the same amount of co2 as you normally would with a 5 gallon keg. You'll use more co2 per gallon of beer, but the...

Add water to fermented beer for volume

At this point you would do a lot more harm through oxidation and not getting fully mixed than you would good. You can do it, but IMHO you are much better off leaving it as it. Its just a bigger version of what you intended.

    Barley Crusher Roller Gap Consistency

I called them today. The lady on the phone said they had never seen an issue like that before. I find that quite hard to believe. Someone is supposed to be calling me on monday about an exchange. I was surprised to see this problem after hearing so many times that it has been corrected.

    Barley Crusher Roller Gap Consistency

I just found that I'm having the same problem with the cereal killer i got for christmas. I just finally got around to getting it set up to use and the drive roller wobbles quite badly. I haven't even had a chance to use it yet.
