Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Is there any need to update the firmware for the Arduino - I last flashed mine a couple of years ago - and everything has worked fine since then.

What errors are you seeing exactly?

Sounds like Fermentrack isn't running - try rebooting the pi - if that doesn't work then reflash and reinstall from scratch.

I'm seeing the same too - I think the script is having a hard time reading those values from the controller - for some reason - doing my best to figure out why. Edit: Found, and fixed, the issue - and have put up a PR on GitHub. Edit again: Merged with Dev

Check the rating on the power supply - under-speced power supplies are one of the main causes of SD issues with Pis. I think the official one is 2.5A and 5.5v.

I'll second that your SD card is probably on its way out. I used to run the old brewpi-www package on a Pi2 - and it would periodically destroy an SD card - the first indication of something being amiss would be random bits of the OS that worked one day not working the next. I'd strongly...

Are you sure your HCI0 (or whatever it is on your pi) is actually up? try the following commands: sudo hciconfig hc0 down sudo hciconfig hc0 up

It's looking like this is a bug in the software - I've created a fixed for this and submitted the fix on Github for review.

No worries - thanks for all the help! I think I figured out where the issue lies - I've created a PR on the Fermentrack GitHub project that includes the code changes I made to get the Tilt behaving nicely with Fermentrack.

Indeed. When I've got some time I'm going to attempt to add some additional logging to the tilt monitoring code - so I can get an idea about what is, or isn't happening, under the hood.

I'm having a similar issue - except with a Pi4 and a v2 Tilt - it was previously working fine - now nothing seems to be logging to Fermentrack. I even did a fresh install of Buster (the latest image available) - but still nothing. I'm not seeing any errors in any of the log files - and I've...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Hey, So I'm experiencing a problem getting the Tilt (Blue V2) to play nicely with Fermentrack on a Pi4. It was working perfectly on a previous beer that was fermenting. I then brewed a new beer dropped the Tilt in and noticed Fermentrack wasn't updating the gravity and temp (was still showing...

You can - but there's no quick way to see what the profile is from the dashboard page - so if you don't remember how many set points your profile has you are a bit lost when looking at the dashboard. You can also switch profiles at any time and start them at any setpoint (without restating the...
