    Best type of brew pot?

    Sam's Club has an awesome 6 gallon stainless pot that I use for full boils. It was about $45. Weighs a ton. Boils great and cools quickly in a bath tub... Later! :tank:

    First Extract Brew

    Use the glass carboy for your primary next time. Rock the hell out of the carboy to aerate. Be patient... And yes, I actually hooked up a webcam to my first few brews to watch it at work. Also, you dont have to boil so hard. You just want to see a little motion in the wort, not vigorous...

    Pew!

    I threw together my first apfelwein this weekend. Started the yeast in a mix of juice and the rehydration water. Got very active fermentation one day later. Smelled good at first but now it smells like something crawled in the fermenter and died. Normal? :tank:
