    Question on Copper Wort Chillers

I have a coiled copper wort immersion chiller. I haven't used it in several months, and was going to use it to chill a batch of brew, but noticed where some spots have began to oxidize. Would it still be safe to use with my beer, or should I get a new one? Not sure if it would harm it or not...

    Using fresh fruit in mead

Awesome, thanks for the tip. Should I do anything to the fruit before adding, other than giving them a good wash of course?

    Using fresh fruit in mead

I am wanting to make a small one gallon batch of mead and want to add fresh fruit to it. I have some strawberries as well as raspberries, and a local brewery makes a raspberry mead which is awesome. How should I go about adding the fruit to it? Is it better to use a puree or artificial...

    Suggestions for a Honey Ale

I'm wanting to make a beer using honey. Do any of you guys have a suggestion for a good style to start with? I was thinking a APA, but I don't know if that would be too citrusy.

    Help fixing burner

I bought a turkey fryer several months ago and it worked great. The other day I was going to use it and discovered that the button for the ignitor (or whatever you would call what let's the gas come out to light it) had popped off and is MIA. Anyone have any suggestions on what I could do to rig...

Yes, I always try to sanatize throughly. I did taste funky at bottling, but I was hoping it would improve with time. May have to call it a loss. Thanks both for the feedback

    Possible Skunk Batch...need help

It does have an alcohol flavor, just very sour. I had it fermenting at room temp, about 65F.

    Possible Skunk Batch...need help

Okay, so I attempted to make a Mild Ale back in June. After almost 2 months in the bottle, the beer has little carbonation and has an almost chemical taste. I had tried two things that may have effected it: I had some dry Nottingham yeast that had been in my fridge for several months (though...

    Question on Mild Ale Malt

A few months ago a was at my local liqour store where I get some of my grains (if our brew shop is closed, he has weird hours) and decided to stock up on some grains. One grain I came across was a mild ale malt, the exact kind escapes right now. I was wondering if anyone had some good recipe...
