Priming with pomegranate juice = beer bombs?

i've tasted the beer and it is fine. as the pomegrenate juice fermented in the secondary there isn't much fruit flavor. however everyone who tried it liked it a lot. i'm really not sure how to do it. if one adds too much juice it must add to secondary and you won't get much fruit flavor. If...

Priming with pomegranate juice = beer bombs?

I've opened the bottles. They had a lot of gas. Too much. If I had let them capped I'm sure they would have exploded. Some beer spilled out. Maybe what I did next was a huge mistake but I've put the beer back into a carboy. It is bubbling like crazy. I'm curious as to what will come out of...

Priming with pomegranate juice = beer bombs?

I had 700ml of Juice and used it all, it was not what you'd call and informed decision. I should have fermented some of that juice, measuring gravity before and after to get an estimate on the fermentability of the sugars.

Priming with pomegranate juice = beer bombs?

Hello, I've primed the beer with pomegranate juice (freshly squeazed) and now I'm worried whether I've created potential beer bombs. I've measured the SG of the juice and it read 1,060, pretty high no? If all this is fermentable sugar I may have primed the bottles with more than 5 time the...

    Carbonation problems

Thanks once more for all the help and tips. I believe that the first batches, that came out right, I just threw the sugar into the bucket. Only recently I've started to dissolve the sugar in hot water. Mostly because I was afraid of infecting the beer with some bug from the sugar. Maybe I'll...

    Carbonation problems

Hello and thanks for your comments and hints. The bottling day starts with washing and scrubbing the bottles. I rinse them thoroughly I think. I prepare a solution of starsan in a bucket where I sink the bottles for a couple of minutes and then put them upside down to drain. What I was...

    Carbonation problems

Hi, I had a few all-grain batches that failed to carbonate even after a month wait. With one of the batches I've uncapped a couple of bottles and added more priming sugar and yeast (directly into the botle). Two weeks later nothing had happened besides having sweet beer. With another...

Help to remove grease from metallic parts of Mash tun

Hello, I've built a mash tun in a picnic cooler as per these instructions: but using only Stainless Steel parts. Some of the parts (maybe the hose clips) seem to have grease or lubricant that can be seen on tfloating in the water. I've washed the whole thing with a solution of vinegar and...
