How often do you clean your beer lines?

A spare keg with cleaner in it, that's genius! If KegConnection runs another Black Friday deal this year I'm going to pick one up specifically for that purpose.

How often do you clean your beer lines?

    Yeah! Me too... :)

How often do you clean your beer lines?

I'll say something controversial - I've gone as long as six months, 15 corny kegs or so. That said, my entire line is refrigerated and with good hygiene on both ends of the line I never saw evidence of beer stones or mildew, no off flavors, etc. I doubt I would ever go that long...

    What are you drinking now?

I too am drinking a honey pale ale. Brewed 22 gallons, and used different yeasts with each batch to really see what sort of flavor variations I would get. Was actually going for more of an amber ale but only used 6 pounds of crystal 60.

Contacted Keg Connection and they're sending me a replacement poppet, no questions asked. You gotta love customer service like that! :ban:

Thankfully I bought two, so it should be easy to test. Thanks for the tip!

    Corny not dispensing!!!

So here's a puzzler. Same symptom as described above, except: 1) I have (4) corny kegs and 3 work fine. So definitely not the liquid disconnect. 2) The one corny keg that dispenses slowly does not have any obstructions in the dip tube. I can pressurize with cleaning fluid, press the...

    What are you drinking now?

Right now? Nothing. But this week I'm polishing off the last of the IPAs I brewed in October/early November. I love 'em, but I'm ready for something new. Next up are a few batches of Cooper's Mexican Cerverza (they were gifts, why not?), and then two different honey ale recipes.

    Double and Triple Batching

I switched to double batches within about a month of learning to brew, the time and hassle savings are huge. Since I've got the fermenter and corny keg capacity now I've even been pondering triple or quadruple batches... But of course it's easy for me because I'm still an extract brewer.

    Is a Refractometer worth it?

I was on the verge of buying a refractometer, but I didn't realize you really couldn't use them after fermentation begins. I don't have trouble breaking hydrometers, but rather reading them! So maybe I'll just buy a nicer hydrometer. Or maybe both, I dunno.

What are your Top 3 Longterm Investments in Homebrewing equipment?

I'm a noob, but so far have laid down about a grand on equipment. My big ones: 1) 1800 watt induction cooktop and 8 gallon brew pot - I can bring 6 gallons to a boil in 45 minutes, in my basement! 2) Kegging gear - cornies, CO2 tanks, etc. 3) Utility sink and brew table - from tap water...
