    Bag size?

I'm UK based, but I'm hoping I can find something similar in B&Q :D

    Bag size?

I'm looking to get my BIAB bag sorted ASAP so I can get a brew on for Christmas. My tea urn is approx 30cm deep and 34cm in diameter. What size bag should I be looking at? Whether a pre-made, or enough material to make my own?

New to BIAB, looking for an easy recipe

Thanks for the recipe, I'll put that in the pile with the others :D I'm limited by what my LHBS stock, which isn't a massive selection, but I should be able to do this, with substituting the red wheat and Caravienna like you did :)

New to BIAB, looking for an easy recipe

Thank you very much for the offer! I'd be looking at either an APA or IPA to begin with. Possibly a SMaSH brew? The main worry I think for me, is the water volumes. I need to find the right tools that will help me understand easily. I've had a look at a few and if I'm ready everything...

New to BIAB, looking for an easy recipe

I'll definitely look into beersmith. I've heard about a BIAB Excel Spreadsheet, have you tried that and is it any good? As for my first biab recipe, I'd like to try a stout I think, or something similar / Christmas themed.

Hi folks, I am totally new to BIAB and I'm looking for some help. I have done a few extract brews, but after I got hold of a 30 litre tea urn, I want to move to all grain. I've read that people use tea urns so I'm hoping this one will work out for me. I understand the capacity isn't...

British Brown Ale Extract English Brown Ale

I attempted this recipe again, after the cock up with water volumes in my first attempt. Got the water spot on, with US gallons! got 5 US gallons into the FV. OG was 1.042. However, after 2 weeks, it looks to be stuck on 1.018, which will give me another 3.2%ABV beer, not really what I wanted...

British Brown Ale Extract English Brown Ale

I brewed this just the other day. However, after topping up the wort to 25 litres, and a good mix with my spoon, my OG reading was 1032. Could this be due to not mixing enough? I gave it a decent mix before reading the OG, but perhaps not quite enough? Can this happen? If that is the case...
