Who are these millet malters and do they have a website?

    No Nonsense Stout

I had this same problem and it seemed like such a mess I was convinced I did it wrong, but the wet roasted oats just took a really long time to roast but eventually they dried out and then got to the right color. I ended up deciding to do a larger batch so I dry roasted some oats too to make up...

    No Nonsense Stout

Oooh! Would you just steep the chestnut to get a flavory and dark liquid to add and then only use sorghum to ferment? That sounds good too, I'm curious how it works out. I actually prefer beers with some of those figgy type flavors, so I was REALLY excited to find this recipe as a base for...

    No Nonsense Stout

Yum!! Thank you so much for this recipe! I just tried my first carbonated bottle and it is divine! I love really dark and malty beers so much but at the beginning of this year I suddenly developed a gluten intolerance and was really bummed that there aren't many GF dark and strong beers out...

    Wet roasting oats?

Glad to know I am not too far off the mark. I actually realized I accidentally made oat milk with the runoff and added a bit of maple syrup and chocolate and drank some... it was a yummy experiment but I don't think it is something I would start making on purpose.

    Wet roasting oats?

OK, they are definitely drying out enough, so ignore that concern. Now I am just wondering if I soaked them long enough (just about 10 minutes) and if dumping out the soaking water lost anything I should have kept.

    Job's Tears

I'm really curious if they have any of the chemical properties of barley that are useful for brewing or if they are just similar in look and name. Definitely keep up posted!

    Wet roasting oats?

Hi! I am trying my hand at the No Nonsense Stout and I am currently in the process of roasting my oats and have some questions because i am afraid I may not be doing it properly. So, I am attempting to wet roast them like the recipe says. I soaked them in a bit of water and then spread them...
