Disagree away! You're in LA, I'm in Indy. I have a feeling you know a wee bit more than I do about the West Coast beer scene. These are the breweries I keep hearing about. Are there any others with distribution in the midwest I could look out for?
Didn't see anyone else had posted it, apologies if they have.......
Regardless of the opinions, it's a pretty good summary of west coast breweries and a could help with trip planning.

never had the 48 until tonight....very nice. I forgot what it was like to drink an IPA and not get slapped by 920192238 IBUs. Great malt flavors balance the hops well. I'll buy it again. On to the individually hopped beers!
Would this post work? I ask because I was wanting to put this together this week and the post that matches all the pictures is out of stock at LHBS. Thanks.

You don't have to pay for external temp control....

I pulled up this thread and for the first time was immediately PO'd. Dirty Bastard is one of my favs and I want that keg so bad. If you don't mind my asking, what was the bill for that bad larry?
I agree with the above. To me, it's gonna depend on the types of people frequenting that pub and what kind of beers do they normally serve. Find out how frequently they rotate their beers and what might be on tap when yours is ready to go. I'd find something to compliment the existing offerings...
I use the SQ-14 for the boil but I do my sparge and strike water on the stove. I do 6.5-7.5gal boils. I get anywhere from 6-9 boils off of one tank. Not sure the size, but it's the tank that you can exchange at any gas station.
