Hey I really want to brew pkaeding's recipe but lack the tools for a full-grain recipe. Can anyone give any advice for an extract conversion? What (and how much of it) should I use?
I've been in the mood to try an apple IPA or apple ale and this seems like the best recipe I could find...
I used the recipe found at https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f12/troegs-nugget-nectar-clone-104432/ to make a Nugget Nectar clone. I used BeerSmith to convert it into a liquid extract recipe.

Since it's in a better bottle it's a pain to siphon beer out into the hydrometer flask every time i take a reading. Can I just sanitize the hydrometer and leave it floating in the carboy? does anyone foresee any problems with this?
