Geez, that's gotta take up a good amount of space just in tubing!

A few questions on my kegerator shopping listrt (dist. block, what am I missing?)

Hey everyone, I'm looking at turning my old kitchen fridge into a 3-keg kegerator. My shopping list includes: 3x 575SS Perlicks with shanks & SS tailpieces 3-way gas distribution block 10lb tank 50' Accuflex Bev-Seal Ultra Barrier tubing (10' tubing/keg) I already have a bunch of kegs...

    Shanks for Keezer Question

Seems the above website has the best prices I've found yet. My birthday's right around the corner and I have a full size fridge to convert into my replacement kegerator.

    Pine Mash Paddles?

True, again only reason for the pine is because I've got nothing else to do with it. I'll probably do what you suggest and make a few attempts out of the pine, maybe decorative pieces or something, then final functional product out of maple.

    Pine Mash Paddles?

It's all good, I should have searched prior to my post. I read the thread you linked and I definitely plan on giving it a go. Broadbill, I completely see your point, however, I have a bunch of stumps just sitting outside which I'd rather put to use and I enjoy stuff like this so it's a...

    Pine Mash Paddles?

So after the recent hurricane here, I lost a huge pine tree and would like to put the remains to good use. I was thinking of making either one mash paddle or a few (depending on how time consuming the job is) and I'm curious if pine is an ok wood to use... Any insight?

    One primed, one didn't...

Hey guys, I kegged two batches back in May, one with honey and the other with brown sugar. I know I got the mixtures right but the batch with brown sugar did NOT prime. The batch I used honey in worked great and is perfectly primed. Do I try & re-prime while the brew is still in the keg...

taking a full keg out of the kegorator & storing...

My keg of nut brown ale is carb'd and ready to drink but I'm not a huge fan of it and would like to let it sit and condition and drink another keg in the meantime. Can I simply pull it out, disconnect the gas and leave it alone for a while and tap another keg?

Wort chiller. To buy or not to buy...

That's exactly what I mean. I'm all about the DIY concept but mainly for $$ reasons. If it's the difference of a few bucks I'd just buy one. I was reading this build http://www.olderascal.com/brewing/wortchiller/index.html and $10 was the cost of copper. I'm assuming the cost has gone up...

Wort chiller. To buy or not to buy...

Is it maybe just my area or has the cost of copper increased so much that buying a commercial wort chiller costs about the same as making your own? I was looking online at Lowes & The Home Depot and the price of copper coil is super expensive. I can buy one from AHS for $65 + shipping which...

    Full boil question

Wow thanks guys! Wayne you gave me a lot to think about but it makes perfect sense. I started my batch with 6.5 gallons and this time I'll pay attention to how much makes it into the primary. When you guys mention whirlpool, what do you mean? I've never heard of this until yesterday. Thanks...

    Full boil question

I'm going to be brewing a few batches tomorrow and always forget to ask this. I have a huge lobster pot for a brew pot and can and have done successful full boils. My question is how much brew water to start with. I think I normally put just over 6 gallons to give up one to boil off...
