    Really Dosent matter golddiggie. If it bores you then don't bother replying mate. There are plenty That really don't mind giving advise time and time over.. And I enjoy the converse as do they. :-)

    Thanks for your advise golddiggie, but I like to start a thread for my own questions so I can reply to any advise directly so that I can ask additional questions that may be relevant for my advantage. . That way they know who I am and what I'm talking about etc etc ;-)

    Evening :) I have a beer kit fermenting that will be ready to bottle in 48 hours. Problem is, I'm going away For a week! Can I leave it for that long after fermentation has stopped? I'm worried that there won't be any active yeast left for carbonation? Any help appreciated.

    That's exactly what it is. I've got another brew on the go now and I'm gonna try bottling. See how much difference there is.

    No worries. It's a Sealed barrel with a gas bottle to pressurise it. I've just given it a couple of squirts and it's Sooo much better. Lovely head and everything. I only added 20 litres of water instead of 23 so it's stronger than it should be (like rocket fuel) and im not dissapointed about...

    In the instructions to leave it for 1 week at 70•c for carbonation then cool. It's currently outside (cold & dark) to clear. Does that mean it won't eat any more of the sugars because it's no longer at 70•c ?

    Hi folks.. I've just made my first batch of pale ale from a kit. I decided to barrel it rather than bottle. It's finished fermenting and is now cooling down to clear. I've had a few tastes but requires more carbonation as its quite flat. Is there any way I can give it a carbonation. Boost? Maybe...

    Which brew kit?

    Canned kits for now shooter! Haven't a clue what I'm doing yet.. I was hoping someone would suggest maybe a standard kit and put my own tastes to It. Say dry hops and a fruit of some sort? Don't know if that would work or not?
