My buddy saved every runt as you call it, and for new years he had beer pong with each cup featuring a different home brew! it was interesting, everyone wanted to have to drink so they could try each one! :)

If you use the brewing process to turn it pink, it may end up better. If you just add food coloring, it could react poorly, or at best, it will definitely stain lips, tongues, teeth, clothes... pink. a very post lollypop effect. good luck, let me know what you decide and how it works!
